In a bold move, 41-year-old account manager Zilda Williams has decided to leave her successful corporate career behind to join the popular adult content platform OnlyFans. Despite her family’s concerns that she’s throwing away a great opportunity, Williams believes her six-figure salary is no longer sufficient to survive in today’s challenging economic climate.
“I love my job and I’ve worked my butt off for years to get to where I am in this industry, but with the cost-of-living crisis, I don’t think six figures is enough to get by,” Williams told DailyMail.com. “I’m paying off a massive mortgage by myself and don’t have a husband to split the bills with. It’s just me and my rescue dog Willow.”
Williams, who previously worked as a glamor model for men’s magazines like FHM in her 20s, left the racy shoots behind to climb the corporate ladder in her hometown of Auckland, New Zealand. However, after seeing many of her former modeling colleagues driving Porsches and buying real estate thanks to OnlyFans, she decided to give it a try herself.
“I’ve done plenty of photoshoots in bikinis and lingerie before, so why not make a little money from it?” Williams says. “I’m keeping it classy, so I have nothing to be embarrassed about. It’s not porn – it’s tasteful stuff.”
Despite the years since her professional modeling days, Williams claims that she’s having more success with men now than ever before. “Men hit on me more today than they did when I was 25 – I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because women get more confident with age?” she mused.
Williams has faced warnings from her loved ones about risking her corporate career for a quick payday on OnlyFans, but she remains undeterred. I’ve had close friends and family members tell me that I’m crazy and making a terrible decision, but they don’t understand what it’s like for me,” she said. “I want to pay off my mortgage and retire early. I’m never going to be able to do that in today’s economy.”
The savvy businesswoman also has plans to use her OnlyFans earnings to start her own business, allowing her to become her own boss. “People think I’m stupid for doing this, but I’m far from a dumb blonde. I have plans to use my earnings to start a business, so then I can be my boss,” she boasted.
Since launching her OnlyFans account in June, Williams has already seen significant financial success. “I wasn’t sure if anyone would care, but as soon as I posted about my OnlyFans, I got so many DMs from guys wanting to send me money and subscribe,” she gushed. “The men messaging me are anywhere from 19 to 70. The younger guys all call me a MILF, even though I don’t have kids. I’ve even had some women in my DMs!”
While some former educators, like Megan Gaither, have warned against following in their footsteps due to the potential for becoming a “total outcast” in their hometowns, Williams remains confident in her decision. “At the end of the day, I’m going to be the one having the last laugh. Yes, it’s a risk to my reputation in the corporate world, but without risk, there’s no reward,” she concluded.
