BET Awards 2024: The List of Winners, With Drake Leading With 7 Nominations

The BET Awards 2024 commenced with a high-energy performance by Megan Thee Stallion, setting the stage for a celebration of excellence in Black entertainment. Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, the event honored achievements across music, film, television, and sports.

Drake led the nominations with an impressive seven nods, including album of the year for “For All The Dogs (Scary Hours Edition),” best male R&B/pop artist, best male hip-hop artist, and multiple nominations for videos like “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole and “Rich Baby Daddy” with Sexyy Red and SZA.

Following closely, Nicki Minaj garnered six nominations, highlighted by album of the year for “Pink Friday 2,” best female hip-hop artist, and two best collaboration nominations for tracks with Lil Uzi Vert on “Everybody” and “Barbie World” with Ice Spice and Aqua.

The awards ceremony featured memorable performances, including appearances by Will Smith and Lauryn Hill. Usher received the prestigious lifetime achievement award, accompanied by a tribute performance from Childish Gambino, Keke Palmer, Coco Jones, and others. Usher also clinched the title of best male R&B/pop artist, capping off a night of recognition and talent at the BET Awards.
