Philadelphia Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore revealed that the suspect, whose name has not been immediately released, faces three counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder. “Detectives, with assistance from the Philadelphia district attorney’s office, developed evidence to charge one of our shooting victims,” Vanore stated in a post on X. The specifics of the evidence leading to the suspect’s identification were not disclosed.

Investigators are actively working to identify other suspects involved in the shooting. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on the 1200 block of North Alden Street in the Carroll Park neighborhood of West Philadelphia during a party attended by over 100 people, according to police reports.
