STOCKTON-ON-TEES, England  – Cleveland Police have arrested five individuals on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man in Teesside, authorities announced Thursday.

The incident occurred around midnight on Hills Drive in Stockton-on-Tees, a residential area just north of the town center. While formal identification of the victim is pending, police confirmed that the man’s family is receiving support from specially trained officers.

A local resident, speaking to Teesside Live, reported hearing “high-pitched screaming” and rushing to the scene to perform CPR on the victim. “He was still alive at that point,” the witness stated.

By Thursday morning, a blue forensic tent had been erected at the crime scene, with police officers guarding a taped-off area surrounded by cones. Forensic teams in white overalls were also observed working at the rear of nearby Stewart Road, according to the Northern Echo.

Cleveland Police stated that all five suspects remain in custody as detectives continue their questioning. The force has appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward as the investigation progresses.

This incident has shocked the local community, with residents expressing concern about safety in the area. Police have increased their presence in the neighborhood to reassure the public as they conduct their investigation.

Authorities emphasize that this appears to be an isolated incident but urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
