Rapper Enchanting Dies at 26!

The hip-hop community is in mourning after the sudden death of Texas-born female rapper Enchanting, who passed away this week at the age of 26. Enchanting, who was once positioned to be the First Lady of Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, had collaborated with many of the label’s top acts before parting ways in 2022.

Gucci Mane took to Instagram to express his grief, posting a picture of Enchanting with the heartbroken caption, “So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant.” Several other hip hop artists, including Erica Banks, Lakeyah, Omeretta, and Gloss Up, also paid their respects to their colleague.

News of Enchanting’s death was first confirmed by Fort Worth artist manager Lil CJ Kasino, who shared his memories of the tracks she had laid down in his studio. While no cause of death has been officially revealed, CJ stated that the family had made the difficult decision to take her off life support after she fell unconscious the day before.

Enchanting’s sister had initially worked tirelessly to combat premature rumors of her death but eventually confirmed the tragic news by sharing a poignant photo of the two sisters in happier times.

During her time with 1017 Records, Enchanting had collaborated with many of the label’s top acts, including Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and the late Big Scarr, with whom she had shared a particularly close bond.

The news of Enchanting’s untimely death has led to some discussion about the challenges faced by artists signed to Gucci Mane’s label. However, his wife came to his defense, stating that he signs people with the hope of giving them a better life.
