Pop Star Justin Timberlake Faces DWI Charges After Arrest in New York

In a shocking turn of events, singer Justin Timberlake, 43, has been arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) in Sag Harbor, a village in the Hamptons, New York. The “SexyBack” hitmaker was pulled over and taken into custody on Monday night, according to a law enforcement source who spoke to ABC News.

A Sag Harbor Justice Court official confirmed to Newsday that the charges Timberlake faces are DWI-related. Sources told TMZ that the singer had been partying with friends at the American Hotel before driving off around 12:30 a.m. and allegedly blowing a stop sign.

Police officers pulled Timberlake over and performed a field sobriety test on him, but the singer reportedly refused their request to take a breathalyzer test. Despite his friends’ attempts to convince the officers to let him off, Timberlake was handcuffed and taken into custody by the police. The entire ordeal was reportedly captured on bodycam footage.

Timberlake, often referred to as the “Prince of Pop,” has been on his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour since April and has upcoming concert dates scheduled in New York City and Chicago. He is slated to perform at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, as well as at Chicago’s United Center on Friday and Saturday.
