E-Commerce Billionaire, Imudia, Commits Suicide in Lagos, Nigeria

Date:

Billionaire Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a prominent Nigerian e-commerce platform, has tragically taken his own life at his residence in Lagos, Nigeria. Imudia, who was also serving as the CEO of D.light, a leader in solar energy solutions and household products, reportedly jumped from the balcony of his Lekki apartment on Tuesday night, June 25.

Sources indicate that before his death, Imudia contacted his brother in the United States to provide instructions on how to handle his wealth in the event of his passing. He also spoke with his young daughter from a previous relationship, reassuring her of his eternal presence by telling her to look to the sky.

Friends, family, and colleagues are deeply shocked and searching for answers regarding his sudden and tragic decision. The reasons behind Imudia’s suicide remain unclear, leaving those who knew him bewildered by the unexpected loss.

Hailing from the Ika South local government area of Delta State, Imudia had previously been married to the mother of his daughter, with whom he had parted ways due to irreconcilable differences. His professional journey included significant roles at TCL/Alcatel as a regional director and at Microsoft Device and Services as the GM/MD for West and Central Africa.
