Dallas Cowboys Fan, Wife Brutally Attacked at Stadium

Date:

What was meant to be a celebratory first NFL game for the Gonzalez family turned violent when a Dallas Cowboys fan and his wife were brutally attacked at AT&T Stadium on September 22.

Wenceslao Gonzalez, attending the Cowboys-Baltimore Ravens game with his wife Lindsey and daughter Emma, intervened in an altercation between a man and a young woman after the game. The situation escalated, resulting in severe injuries to both Wenceslao and Lindsey.

“Our whole world has been turned upside down,” Lindsey Gonzalez told CBS. “Our lives may never be the same after this.”

According to the family, 32-year-old Rafael Ramirez allegedly punched Wenceslao before knocking Lindsey unconscious with a single blow and kicking her while she was down. Lindsey suffered 12 facial fractures, requiring surgery, while Wenceslao sustained a fractured foot.

Ramirez was arrested and charged with two counts of assault causing bodily injury. He was released on bail from Tarrant County Jail on September 23.

The incident has raised questions about stadium security. Emma Gonzalez criticized the slow response from law enforcement, stating, “It was really frustrating that there wasn’t more police presence.”

The family says they “never want to go back” to the Cowboys stadium following the traumatic experience.

The Dallas Cowboys organization has not yet commented on the incident. As the investigation continues, the case highlights concerns about fan safety at major sporting events.
