STOCKTON-ON-TEES, England – Cleveland Police have arrested five individuals on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man in Teesside, authorities announced Thursday.
The incident occurred around midnight on Hills Drive in Stockton-on-Tees, a residential area just north of the town center. While formal identification of the victim is pending, police confirmed that the man’s family is receiving support from specially trained officers.
A local resident, speaking to Teesside Live, reported hearing “high-pitched screaming” and rushing to the scene to perform CPR on the victim. “He was still alive at that point,” the witness stated.
By Thursday morning, a blue forensic tent had been erected at the crime scene, with police officers guarding a taped-off area surrounded by cones. Forensic teams in white overalls were also observed working at the rear of nearby Stewart Road, according to the Northern Echo.
