The insider also hinted that Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, may be planning a “grand gesture” when he eventually pops the question, adding, “The big moment – and the ring – need to be super special … no matter what or when he finally asks her, it will be an experience that they’ll remember forever.”
The report comes amid conflicting accounts of the couple’s plans for the future. Chiefs long snapper James Winchester said he could “definitely” see the pair getting engaged, while Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy believes it will happen within the next year. An insider previously told Page Six in January that Kelce and Swift, both 34, had discussed their plan to “get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.”
However, a source who spoke with US Weekly in March offered a different perspective, stating, “Travis and Taylor are still in the ‘honeymoon’ phase and the relationship is serious. They are on the same page about the future but are not rushing marriage or the next step.”
