By An ex-lobbyist named Jesse Taylor, 38, has been accused of infiltrating Donald Trump’s inner circle, pocketing tens of thousands in a political donation scam, and even faking cancer treatment to swindle the rich and famous of Palm Beach, according to his alleged victims, as reported by DailyMail.com.
Taylor, a former Idaho lobbyist, has been banned from all Trump properties, and the former president’s lawyers have sent him a cease-and-desist letter. According to sources close to the Trump campaign, Taylor met with Trump multiple times, was close with top campaign officials, and even attended parties at Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle’s house.
Taylor allegedly bounced a $25,000 donation check and was discovered to have been selling photo opportunities with Trump for $6,600, pocketing the proceeds. They also accuse him of offering ambassadorships in a future Trump administration to potential donors in exchange for consulting contracts worth up to $10,000 per month.
Drag racer John Odom claims that Taylor convinced him to pay $60,000 for supposed cancer medical bills in 2022, while top GOP donor Greg Mosing alleges he gave Taylor $20,000 for the same reason. According to an investigation by DailyMail.com, Taylor ripped off a photo from a 2015 blog by a woman documenting her own cancer treatment and passed it off as his own.
Odom intends to press criminal charges, and Trump’s lawyer has sent Taylor a ‘cease and desist’ letter accusing him of ‘fraud and extortion’ and’ shameless and manifest deceit’. Taylor denies the allegations, claiming it is a “hit job” from several people.
According to former confidants, Taylor had been racking up tens of thousands of dollars in debt to his Mar-a-Lago member friends, relying heavily on their hospitality to keep up appearances in Palm Beach. A former friend described him as “the Anna Delvey of Palm Beach,” referring to the fake German heiress.
Taylor’s connections to Republican politicians reportedly convinced the Mosings and Odom to hire him as a lobbyist, but they soon learned that he was using their money to support his opulent lifestyle. Taylor has a criminal record that includes theft and DUIs.
