Update: Passenger Plane Crashes in Brazil Carrying 62 People

An airplane carrying 58 passengers and four crew members tragically crashed in Brazil on Friday, according to the airline involved. The flight had departed from Cascavel and was en route to São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport when the incident occurred, as confirmed by Voepass Linhas Aéreas.

As of now, the airline has not provided details on how the plane crashed or the current condition of those on board. Local media, including The Associated Press, have reported on the crash, with the incident being confirmed by the local firefighters’ corps. The plane reportedly went down in the city of Vinhedo.

TV GloboNews, a prominent Brazilian news outlet, aired footage showing a large area engulfed in flames and smoke, presumably from the crash site. Additional footage captured by the network showed the plane in a perilous spiral as it fell from the sky.

Authorities and rescue teams are continuing their efforts at the crash site, but the situation remains dire with no immediate updates on potential survivors or the cause of the crash.
