Three people, including the suspected shooter, were killed and another person was injured in a shooting at a home in rural Caswell County on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Caswell County deputies responded to a call for service just before 8 a.m. at a home on Brooks Road in Prospect Hill, North Carolina’s State Bureau of Investigation said in a news release. Deputies arriving at the scene found multiple people who had been shot.
One person was taken to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound, while several others were confirmed dead at the scene, the bureau said.
