Snoop Dogg Rumored to Earn $500K Daily as NBC Correspondent at Paris Olympics

Date:

Snoop Dogg is reportedly capitalizing on his star power at the Paris Olympics, earning a staggering $500,000 per day as a special correspondent for NBC and Peacock.

According to New York Post, the Grammy-nominated rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., is said to receive this hefty sum along with additional perks for promoting the Olympics. According to a recent LinkedIn report by venture capitalist Henry McNamara, Snoop is staying at top-tier accommodations, representing the games in a unique and influential manner.

“From [his song] ‘Gin and Juice’ to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics — what a world,” McNamara noted in his post.

Sports business reporter Darren Rovell also chimed in, suggesting that the rapper’s earnings align with the high-profile nature of his involvement. “First number that came to mind was $10 million,” Rovell mentioned, referencing a conversation about Snoop’s potential total earnings for the duration of the Olympics.

With the games spanning 16 days, Snoop’s rumored daily rate could total around $8 million, not including additional time spent on pre- or post-production work. Despite the speculation, Snoop has not publicly addressed these rumors.

Recently, the hip-hop legend shared an Instagram Story featuring 5-year-old Savannah McConneaughey, a rising star known for her vibrant personality. “Thank you for giving me $500,000, but today’s going to be a great day,” she said in the video, playfully set to Snoop’s music.

Snoop has maintained a visible presence throughout the Paris Olympics, which continue until August 11. He has participated in events like “A Celebration of Olympic Basketball,” hosted by NBC Universal and the NBA at Team USA House in Paris.
