Why UK Judges Approve Deportation of Pastor Tobi Adegboyega Despite Human Rights Appeal

UK judges have approved the deportation of Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, the founder of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), after a long legal battle over his immigration status. The 44-year-old Nigerian-born pastor, who entered the UK on a visitor’s visa in 2005 and overstayed, had appealed to remain in the country on human rights grounds, citing his marriage to a British citizen.

Adegboyega’s initial request to stay was denied by the Home Office, and his subsequent appeal to the first-tier tribunal also failed. On August 15, 2022, he appealed to the UK’s Upper Tribunal, arguing that his deportation would disrupt his community work, particularly programs targeting youth at risk of gang involvement.

Through his lawyer, Adegboyega claimed he had established numerous initiatives, including a food bank that provided 136,000 meals to children, and created safe houses for young people in London. He also mentioned his recognition from public figures, including former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and senior members of the Metropolitan Police.

However, the Upper Tribunal rejected Adegboyega’s appeal, ruling that his claims about his community contributions were exaggerated and lacked credible evidence.

The judges, Bruce and Rastogi, stated that there was no substantial proof from key institutions, such as the Metropolitan Police or Downing Street, to support Adegboyega’s assertions.

They criticized the pastor for inflating his role in various initiatives and dismissed the importance of his marriage to a British citizen, emphasizing his unlawful stay in the UK as a critical factor in their decision.

The tribunal also questioned Adegboyega’s lifestyle, highlighting his claims of living modestly while his wife, Mary Olubukola Alade, earned £100,000 annually.

Despite his claims of being supported solely by his wife and making sacrifices to help others, Adegboyega’s extravagant lifestyle, including designer clothing and luxury cars, had been a subject of public scrutiny.

Pastor Adegboyega, often at the center of controversy, was previously accused of financial misconduct in a BBC documentary, which alleged that he misused funds intended for community programs to support his lavish lifestyle.

While no criminal charges were filed, the UK Charity Commission and High Court’s investigations into financial improprieties led to the closure of SPAC Nation in 2022.

Despite the tribunal’s ruling, Adegboyega has vowed to continue his work and dismissed the allegations against him. On Instagram, he expressed defiance, asserting that no amount of persecution would stop him. “I’m here, I am at home, nobody should panic for me. I have survived everything, and nothing is going to bring us down,” he said.

Dominican Republic Announces Record 9.5 Tons Cocaine Seizure

Dominican authorities announced Friday their largest-ever drug seizure, intercepting approximately 9.5 tons of cocaine worth $250 million hidden within a banana shipment at the nation’s primary seaport.

The drugs were discovered at Santo Domingo’s Caucedo port in a container that originated from Guatemala and was bound for Belgium, according to Carlos Devers, spokesman for the Dominican Republic’s Anti-Drug Agency. Ten suspects have been detained in connection with the seizure.

The historic bust surpasses the country’s previous record set in 2006, when officials discovered more than 5,680 pounds of cocaine at the same port. The seizure contributes to nearly 47 tons of drugs intercepted by Dominican authorities this year alone.

The Caribbean nation, long recognized as a major transit point in international drug trafficking, maintains its position as a crucial checkpoint in the fight against narcotics smuggling between South America and Europe.

24-Year-Old Mexican TikTok Star and Model Fatally Shot Outside Gym in Tijuana in Apparent Targeted Attack

A 24-year-old TikTok star and model, Fedra Oded Gaxiola Orozco, was shot and killed in what authorities believe was a targeted attack outside a gym in Tijuana, Mexico.

The incident occurred outside the Hardcore Fitness Gym in the López Lucio neighborhood around 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday. Orozco was sitting in her black Mercedes-Benz when a gunman approached the vehicle and fired multiple shots through the window and car door before fleeing the scene.

Emergency services rushed Orozco to a hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities confirmed that witnesses reported the attackers fleeing in a gray Chevrolet HHR.

Miguel Ángel Gaxiola Rodríguez, a prosecutor from the homicide unit, stated that the investigation is focusing on a suspect believed to have acted alone. No arrests have been made, and authorities are continuing their manhunt for the perpetrators.

Fedra Gaxiola, originally from Sinaloa in northwestern Mexico, was a rising social media influencer with over 200,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok. Known for her modeling work, she frequently collaborated with sportswear and aesthetic clothing brands.

This tragic event follows a separate shooting incident in Puebla, Mexico, where another young woman, identified as Vielka “La Bendi,” and her partner were gunned down outside a gym. In that case, authorities suspect the male victim was the intended target.

The investigation into Orozco’s death remains ongoing, with authorities seeking to determine the motive behind the attack and identify those responsible.

Anna Kane, Ex-Wife of NHL Player Evander Kane, Reveals Herself as Sexual Assault Accuser of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Anna Kane, the former wife of Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane, publicly identified herself as one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ earliest sexual assault accusers. Kane, who previously filed her December 2023 lawsuit under the pseudonym Jane Doe, amended her suit on Friday to include her name, following a court order.

In her lawsuit, Kane alleges that Combs, along with Harve Pierre, a former president of Bad Boy Entertainment, and a third unidentified man, drugged and sexually assaulted her at Combs’ New York City recording studio when she was 17 years old.

Kane claims she met Pierre at a Detroit nightclub in 1993, where he allegedly introduced her to Combs over the phone. She alleges Pierre invited her to fly to New York City with him and another man to meet Combs. According to the lawsuit, Kane was coerced into performing sexual acts before boarding a private flight and was later drugged and gang-raped at the Daddy’s House Recording Studio.

The suit details harrowing allegations, including Combs assaulting Kane in a bathroom while she was incapacitated, followed by assaults by the other two men. Kane alleges she was left in severe pain and was barely able to walk when she was taken back to the airport and flown home.

Kane’s decision to reveal her identity came amid claims that Combs’ legal team attempted to intimidate anonymous accusers. In a statement through her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, Kane said, “Defendants’ demand that I use my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I am not intimidated. I am prepared to proceed and hold accountable those who have harmed me.”

Combs, 54, has denied the allegations, describing them as a “sickening” attempt to tarnish his reputation. “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth,” he said in a statement.

Kane’s lawsuit includes photographs of her as a teenager at Combs’ studio, including one where she is sitting on his lap. She is suing Combs, Pierre, and the studio under New York’s Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law, which allows survivors to pursue older claims of abuse.

Combs is currently in federal custody in Brooklyn, where he faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges, and a judge recently denied his request for bail.

Anna Kane and Evander Kane were married from 2018 to 2021 and share a daughter. Their divorce followed Anna’s accusations against Evander, including allegations of gambling addiction and abandonment, which he denied. An NHL investigation cleared him of wrongdoing.

Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Cori Broadus Opens Up About Body Image Struggles While Wedding Dress Shopping

Cori Broadus, the 25-year-old daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, broke down in tears while shopping for her wedding dress, opening up about her struggles with body image. Broadus is documenting her journey to marriage with fiancé Wayne Deuce, 32, in the E! docuseries *Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story,* which premiered on Dec. 5.

In the show, Broadus shared her insecurities during a confessional interview, admitting she struggles to feel comfortable in her natural body. “I’m really loving the idea of getting married, but being the center of attention is kind of scary,” she said.

While trying on a wedding gown with a fitted bodice and thigh-high slit, Broadus’ friends complimented the look, but she felt differently. “It just wasn’t what I really wanted,” she shared. Breaking into tears, she told her friends, “I don’t like my body. I hate my body.”

Broadus explained that she often wears baggy clothing to hide her figure. “Do you see how I dress on the daily? I wear big clothes so people can’t see how I naturally look,” she said. Despite brushing off the moment as temporary, Broadus acknowledged the emotional toll of the experience, revealing her daily struggles with self-image.

Broadus also reflected on feeling like an “outcast,” citing her larger size compared to her friends and her ongoing health challenges. Diagnosed with lupus at age six and recovering from a stroke earlier this year, she said, “The truth is I’m battling with myself every day.”

Broadus’ fiancé, Wayne Deuce, proposed in November 2022. Their wedding was delayed due to her health challenges but remains a joyful milestone for the couple. Snoop Dogg recently shared on *The Jennifer Hudson Show* that he gifted his daughter $1 million for her wedding.

The second installment of *Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story* airs Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. ET on E!.

Explosion in The Hague Destroys Apartments, Injures Several

A powerful explosion in the Mariahoeve neighborhood of The Hague early Saturday destroyed several apartments, injured multiple people, and left others potentially trapped beneath rubble, according to local authorities.

The blast occurred before dawn, with residents reporting a loud bang followed by screams. Some initially mistook the explosion for an earthquake. Part of the affected apartment complex collapsed, and a fire broke out shortly after, complicating rescue efforts.

Emergency teams have rescued four people from the rubble and transported them to nearby hospitals for treatment. Officials have warned that others may still be trapped, as specialized urban search-and-rescue teams equipped with dogs trained to locate victims continue their work at the scene.

Witnesses described hearing a child crying for help amid the chaos. Photos shared on social media showed widespread devastation, with an area covering several apartments reduced to smoldering rubble and debris. Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire trucks, remained stationed nearby as the search continued.

A spokesperson for a local hospital confirmed that medical teams were on standby to handle additional injuries. Prime Minister Dick Schoof expressed shock at the destruction and pledged government support to assist local authorities.

The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.

Impeachment Vote Against South Korea’s President Yoon Delayed as Ruling Party Walks Out

Efforts to impeach South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol over his brief declaration of martial law remain stalled after lawmakers from his ruling party walked out of parliament on Saturday, leaving the motion in limbo. The main opposition Democratic Party introduced the motion but requires votes from Yoon’s People Power Party (PPP) to secure the two-thirds majority needed for its passage.

The heated parliamentary session marked a significant escalation of political tensions, which have been at their highest in decades following Yoon’s unprecedented decision to impose martial law earlier this week. The move, later rescinded, granted the military sweeping emergency powers and shocked both domestic and international observers.

During Saturday’s debate, opposition lawmakers accused PPP members of stalling the impeachment process by leaving the chamber after voting on a separate motion to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate allegations against the first lady. As the debate continued, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik urged PPP lawmakers to return before the midnight deadline to conclude the impeachment vote.

Earlier in the day, Yoon publicly apologized for declaring martial law, describing it as a desperate measure. However, he refused to resign, stating he would take responsibility for his actions. Standing before the South Korean flag, Yoon vowed not to reimpose martial law and left his political future in the hands of his party.

Yoon’s decision to impose martial law on Tuesday—South Korea’s first in 44 years—cited threats from “North Korean communist forces” and alleged anti-state activities by opposition lawmakers. His actions drew sharp criticism both domestically and abroad, with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin canceling a planned visit to South Korea in response.

The impeachment motion has further divided the PPP, with some members calling for Yoon’s resignation to avoid a repeat of the 2016 impeachment crisis that led to the ousting of then-President Park Geun-hye. Thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the National Assembly on Friday and Saturday, holding candlelight protests to demand Yoon’s removal.

If the impeachment motion succeeds, the Constitutional Court will determine whether to uphold the decision. The court, currently short of the required number of judges, faces challenges in handling the case promptly. Investigations into Yoon’s martial law decree have also been launched, with prosecutors and police pursuing charges including insurrection and abuse of authority.

The ongoing crisis has left South Korea’s political landscape deeply fractured, threatening the stability of Asia’s fourth-largest economy and straining its alliance with the United States.

Prince William Meets President-Elect Trump, Dr. Jill Biden Ahead of Notre Dame Reopening, Expanding his Royal Role

Prince William, the Prince of Wales, is expanding his global statesman role as he meets with President-elect Donald Trump and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden in Paris on Dec. 7. The meeting comes ahead of a ceremony marking the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, where William is representing his father, King Charles III.

Prince William, the Prince of Wales

The Prince’s discussions with Trump and Dr. Biden aim to highlight the enduring relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom. The event, which draws leaders from around the world, celebrates the restoration of Notre Dame, heavily damaged by a fire in April 2019.

French President Emmanuel Macron invited Prince William to the ceremony on behalf of King Charles, who is currently undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness. The gathering reflects William’s growing prominence in international diplomacy, following appearances at major global events, including D-Day commemorations earlier this year.

William’s diplomatic engagements in recent years include meetings with leaders such as then-President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, and Chinese President Xi Jinping. His Paris trip follows a Westminster Abbey carol service hosted by his wife, Princess Kate, alongside their three children.

Notre Dame Cathedral, a symbol of French heritage, has undergone a comprehensive restoration. Macron praised the reconstruction effort, calling it “a human adventure of epic proportions” involving skilled contributions from a wide range of experts.

The reopening ceremony underscores Notre Dame’s cultural significance and the international effort to restore it to its former glory.

Backpack Tied to Health Insurance CEO’s Killer Found in Central Park

Investigators have uncovered a backpack believed to belong to the gunman who fatally shot UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Hilton hotel in Manhattan. The discovery was made three days after the high-profile killing, as authorities continue their search for the suspect, who remains unidentified and at large.

The attack occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, just hours before UnitedHealthcare’s annual investor conference. Surveillance footage captured the suspect wearing a gray backpack and concealing his identity with a mask. Following an exhaustive search of Central Park, police located the backpack in an area known as The Ramble, a densely wooded section of the park.

New York Police Department (NYPD) Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny confirmed that the backpack will be sent unopened to a forensic lab for examination. Investigators hope it contains evidence that could shed light on the shooter’s identity or motive.

Authorities believe the suspect may have fled New York City shortly after the shooting, possibly by bus. During his time in the city, the suspect took deliberate measures to remain anonymous, including using cash for transactions and keeping his face covered in surveillance footage captured at various establishments.

Brian Thompson, a prominent executive at UnitedHealthcare, was shot in what appeared to be a targeted attack. Despite the intense public and law enforcement focus, authorities have yet to determine a motive for the killing.

The case has drawn national attention, both for its high-profile victim and the mystery surrounding the perpetrator’s identity and actions. Investigators continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.
